Waves, New Zealand’s annual aquatics industry conference, is regarded as the ‘must attend’ professional development event of the year.
This year's theme is: Excellence in Aquatics – Going from Good to Great.
Te piko o te māuri, tērā te tupu o te rākau – The way a young sapling is nurtured determines how the tree will grow.
Waves 2025 will explore how strong foundations help move the industry forward, focusing on setting standards, applying best practice, driving continuous improvement and fostering creativity, innovation and collaboration. It will set a challenge: How to keep things simple while having the courage to do things different?
Delegates will have the opportunity to reconnect and network with their peers, visit award-winning facilities, meet a huge selection of trade exhibitors and help shape the future of the industry.
This event will be held at Te Pae Ōtautahi/ Christchurch on 20th and 21st August 2025, with the OPSEC National Pool Lifeguard Competition on Tuesday 19th August and optional field trips on Friday 22nd August.
