Tackling Inactivity and Inequality in Western Sydney: A Systems Approach.
WSYD Moving is a whole of system initiative enabling active lives through movement, physical activity and sport.

Building upon the success of the inaugural WSYD Moving Symposium held in November 2023 at the Blacktown Exercise, Sports & Technology Hub, significant strides have been made.

We’ve been progressing the movement the movement generated by the actions from the first Symposium.

WSYD Moving is evolving
WSYD Moving is evolving from being an initiative of Collective Leisure to becoming a Health Promotion Charity under the stewardship of the system itself.

The symposium will facilitate the convergence of the Western Sydney physical activity system. Bringing together individuals and organisations from all intersections of the system who share a common goal, to reduce physical inactivity and inequalities in Western Sydney.

The upcoming symposium at CommBank Stadium, Parramatta aims to continue fostering collaboration within the Western Sydney physical activity system, uniting individuals and organisations across all sectors who share the common objective to support our region.

Excitingly, we are thrilled to announce the launch of the Health Promotion Charity and the release of the publication 'Tackling Inactivity and Inequality in Western Sydney: A Systems Approach'.
