About the role:
We are expanding and looking for an experienced Sales Superstar to join our vibrant fast-paced team.

The sky is the limit when it comes to events VRTP!
You will be able to rave about six unique properties famous for their exhilarating rides, exciting shows, amazing animals, and spectacular theming! Imagine selling to your clients a dinner with the Dolphins or riding the fastest ride of the Southern Hemisphere at their conference dinner!
As a proactive BDM, you will be responsible for generating new leads, growing the customer base and converting potential business from MICE clients from target markets to make a positive revenue contribution across all VRTP venues and maintaining regular customer contact and satisfaction.
As our next BDM no day will be the same and your tasks will include:
• Researching prospects, cold calling and visiting potential customers locally and interstate to generate new MICE business for VRTP
• Attending networking events and trade shows
• Develop strategic and innovative action plans to proactively target key accounts and new business opportunities to ensure KPI’s are achieved
• Always maintaining a customer focus, ensuring that customer service delivery is timely, effective and efficient and that it meets both the customer’s (internal and external) needs and corporate standards
• Manage a portfolio of leisure and MICE accounts
• Writing business proposals and presenting these to potential customers.
• Develop strategic and innovative action plans to proactively target key accounts and new business opportunities
• Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to secure business and negotiate contracts
• Ensure revenue optimisation through effective selling and negotiation strategies
• Develop and foster relationships to encourage repeat business
• Ability to travel interstate
What we are looking for:
• Someone with extensive experience within the business events/hotels sector including established relationships with Professional Conference Organisers, corporate, association, government, incentive, industry decision makers with proven track records.
• Extensive experience in selling principles and objectives and sales targeting
• Tertiary and /or postgraduate qualifications in commercial or related field
• Someone who is a great people person, confident, energetic and enthusiastic
• Strong selling skills and understanding of sales processes who can effectively upsell products and services and can bring a sale to closure
• Customer development and relationship management skills
• Knowledge of contractual agreements and legal implications
• Committed to achieving performance targets and an acceptance of accountability.
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
