$29 - $32 per hour plus 25% loading

Taking in some of Sydney's most beautiful beaches including the world-famous Bondi Beach, Waverley Council is an enriching place to broaden your career.

Waverley Council is seeking motivated and experienced lifeguards, with high fitness levels to join our team of lifeguards at Bondi, Bronte and Tamarama beaches. In this role you will patrol our beaches, respond to lifesaving emergencies through rescue and resuscitation, and educate the community and many thousands of visitors each year on water and beach safety. 

To be successful, you will be required to undergo fitness and skills testing which includes:

• An 800m pool swim to be completed under 14 minutes.
• Completing the 'Lifeguard Mission' under 25 minutes (dependent on conditions) which consists of a 600m Swim / 600m Run / 600m Board / 600m Run.
• Board rescues.

You will also be required to complete a pre-employment medical, a Working with Children Check and provide evidence from the Australian Immunisation Register that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
