Bowls New South Wales Limited (BNSW) is the governing state body for the sport of lawn bowls in New South Wales.

We are a not-for-profit company that manages events and players. We have over 45,000 members and over 480 affiliated clubs. We value our large volunteer base and are proud of our NSW state players who, at the recent Commonwealth Games, won three gold and one silver medal.

In the role you will be:
• Leading and managing change.
• Driving a positive, inclusive and unified culture.
• Delivering strategic plans to ensure the sustainability and growth of the sport.
• Managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance is met with delivery of best practice administration for the organisation by all staff, committees and volunteers.
• Managing the BNSW team, ensuring staff are managed and developed to industry leading standards.
• Reporting to the Board and Committees on governance, finance and administration matters.
• Growing participation and membership, managing the commercial success of the organisation by maximising sponsorship and commercial opportunities.
• Developing and implementing long-term growth and sustainability programs that deliver new income streams and facilities to the sport.
• Based in the Sydney CBD, travelling to events and meetings and working outside office hours on occasions.
• Liaising with key stakeholders, sponsors, government agencies, sporting organisations and service providers to promote and benefit BNSW.

Skills you will require for success:
• Degree or diploma qualified in Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Experience in a CEO role, preferably within the sporting, not for profit sectors or a membership-based organisation.
• Experience working with and reporting directly to a Board.
• Excellent people leadership skills.
• Demonstrated project management and delivery skills.
• Strong communication skills, preferably with public and media experience.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Working financial knowledge and capable of working with financial statements.
• Knowledge of systems and technology.
• Experience working with volunteer-based organisations.
• Prepared to immerse yourself in the sport and culture of Lawn Bowls.

Salary range $200 – 250k plus incentive based renumeration, negotiable, based on qualifications.
