Leisure and Aquatic Centres are located across City of Canterbury Bankstown.  
They are vibrant, inclusive community hubs where we offer safe and enjoyable services that enhance the wellbeing of our community.  

We are making the largest single investment into our Centres over the next 10 years, starting with a brand-new Centre at Canterbury early in 2023! We want to welcome new leaders to our team to help make this something special!

Becoming a Duty Manager at Canterbury Bankstown Council will give you the opportunity to work across all our venues. You will be integral to the day-to-day operations of the Centre and lead a team who enhance the wellbeing of our customers and community. 

This position requires an individual who possesses:   

• Experience in a leadership role within the leisure, aquatic or fitness Industry, or equivalent. 
• The desire to complete pool lifeguard award, senior first aid and technical pool operations course within the first 6-weeks of employment. 
• The ability to demonstrate effective leadership of a team and deliver a high quality and safe experience for customers. 
• A practical and level-headed approach to problem solving, because you will learn to run our filtration plant and equipment! 
• Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace, Health and Safety 
• Qualifications and experience leadership, customer experience or operations are highly advantageous
