About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Live Events Operations Manager to join our experienced Live Events Team. As a senior member of the Live Events team, this role will be a main point of contact for clients post sales and will be integral in the planning and operational delivery of all Live Events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the main point of contact for event stakeholders to an event regarding any issues, ensuring all requests are processed, following all ICC Sydney policy, procedures and standards
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver Live Events primarily within the 8,000 seat Aware Super Theatre and 2,500 seat Darling Harbour Theatre
  • Coordinate and distribute all interdepartmental paperwork necessary in a timely manner, complying with all hiring agreement requirements for the successful implementation of assigned events
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee the operational delivery of merchandise for all Live Events
  • With a CSI mindset, identify risks, concerns or areas of opportunity to improve overall operational effectiveness of the Live Events team across both event planning and delivery
  • Provide support, direction and guidance to all internal departments to facilitate successful planning and delivery of events

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 year experience in planning for large scale and multi-faceted events with 500 + guests attendance
  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent, preferably degree or in Event Management or business related discipline
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Ability and experience leading, coaching and managing line teams including performance management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office package and event management systems (i.e. Ungerboeck)
  • Current working knowledge of the Live Entertainment and Convention industry
  • Proficient in written and oral communication, being able to produce a high standard of written reports and proven ability to use initiative with ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders.
