Overview
Trek Larapinta is seeking a motivated and experienced industry professional to join our team for 2024!

We have an exciting position as the Trek Larapinta Operations Manager based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. This is a hands-on role where your exceptional logistical and organisational skills are key.

As our Operations Manager, you will assist our General Manager in the successful delivery of high-quality treks on the Larapinta Trail. You will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and servicing our semi-permanent camp sites, managing our guide team, the management of our vehicle fleet, gear maintenance and repairs, ensuring trailers are packed for trips and ensuring our guides are supported to deliver our renowned high quality Larapinta Trail experiences. This is a varied dynamic role within a friendly, professional, and passionate team.

We are looking for someone with:

• Min 2 years’ experience in a logistical/support services role
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle and tow trailers to high standard
• 4WD experience
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Excellent organisational, multi-tasking, communication, time management and prioritisation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Guiding experience and/or experience in the nature-based / trekking tourism industry is an advantage.

Required Qualifications:

• Light Rigid Driver’s license with H endorsement (PPV)
• Current Provide First Aid certificate (CPR included and Wilderness First Aid preferred) or ability to obtain
• Food Safety Certificate Level 2 or ability to obtain.

Role commences February 2024

This is a seasonal role with 8-month pro rata contract available. Rotational weekend work required and relief on call duty also (rotational roster).

Remuneration
Salary to be negotiated dependent on prior industry experience, including an Alice Springs accommodation package for interstate applicants.
