Positions available are for Permanent Full time and Part time, Seasonal, and Casual Lifeguards. Penrith City Council are currently offering the right candidates the opportunity to obtain all necessary qualifications for FREE, setting you up for success with nationally recognised credentials. 

Once qualified you will become part of an inclusive team that provides fantastic customer service and critical patron safety to our members and guests within our pool environment. You will have the opportunity to work across our Ripples Leisure Centres in St Marys and Penrith, with flexible hours that can fit around your life. 

Essential Criteria 

• Pool Lifeguard Certificate (Pool Lifeguard Skill Set)  
• Lifeguard License or ability to complete prior to completion of probationary period 
• First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate 
• NSW Working with Children Check   

Desirable Criteria 

• Experience in an aquatic / leisure / sport environment is desirable.  
• Aquatic Supervision qualification  
• Pool Operations Certificate  
• Demonstrated commitment to corporate values of Penrith City Council  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  

Commencing Salary 

• Full-time $59,374.00 - $68,729.00 (salary + 10.5% superannuation) 
• Part Time $59,374.00 - $68,729.00 Pro- Rata (salary + 10.5% superannuation)
• Casual Lifeguard $33.99 - $39.34 (including 25% casual loading) 

This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. 

This position requires the worker to be double vaccinated against COVID-19 or to hold a medical contraindication certificate.
