About The Role:
To provide support to the People, Culture & Safety Manager and across the organisation. The People & Culture Coordinator will provide human resources support throughout WAFC, including but not limited to areas of recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, work health and safety, training and development, employment, and industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end recruitment including advertising, shortlisting, interviews, pre-employment checks and offer;
  • Drafting of employment contracts, employment variations and volunteer agreements;
  • Coordinate the induction program and provide departmental managers ongoing support throughout the on-boarding and off-boarding processes;
  • Manage and maintain the People, Culture & Safety databases, folders and employee files;
  • Assist with the implementation of the Human Resources Information System database and create learning resources for hiring managers
  • Coordinate approval and booking for all training and development requests;
  • Support management and employees in the interpretation and adherence to HR policies, procedures and employment agreements;
  • Coordinate HSE Committee documentation including the agenda and minutes;
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly reports on HSE performance including metrics, trends and other indicators;
  • Assist with the coordination and set up of events including staff meetings, farewell and anniversary functions;
  • Contribute to the development and review of HR Policies and Procedures

Eligibility To Apply
To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar human resources role (minimum of 3 years) with a sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices (E)
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation and maintenance of HR Information Systems and other databases (preferably ELMO) (E)
  • A proactive, professional, and customer-focused approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and effectively contribute to a team environment (E)
  • Experience working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (E)
  • Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of legislation, policies and procedures (E)
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying improvement initiatives (E)
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (D)
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll processing requirements would be an advantage (D)
