The Position
Are you our next Sports Team Leader?
Team ARC is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic individual with a passion for Sport and leading others, to oversee the Sports portfolio at Cockburn ARC. This will include managing a 6-court indoor multi-purpose Stadium, activating the space with programming, including junior and adult social sport competitions for over 1000 teams annually, kids coaching clinics, bookings and casual court use. This position requires a proven leader with an improvement mindset, bringing their multi-sport experience to develop and deliver a range of diverse and innovative sports programs for all ages. This position will be critical in the planning, development, and delivery of Sports Programs at Cockburn ARC, whilst always providing an exceptional customer experience. We are looking for an exceptional Sports Team Leader to manage, lead and support our Sport admin and front-line team, setting them up for success in their day-to-day operations.?

You understand the importance of physical exercise for both mental and physical wellbeing and impart your knowledge and passion to educate a healthier community.
You’re a great leader and team player
You’re someone who supports your team through on-the-job training, coaching, and managing team performance, whilst driving the Sports portfolio to be best practise across everything we do. You will directly manage the Sports Supervisor and part time Senior Activity Leaders who oversee the running of competition evenings and program delivery. You will liaise with members, participants and customers, to provide outstanding customer experience, learning opportunities and programs, as well as with the ARC Leadership team to ensure alignment with strategy and policies and procedures are consistent and effective across the organisation.
To become our Sports Team Leader, you will have:
• Experience in developing sporting competitions and events
• Exceptional people leadership skills including developing high performing teams, mentoring and coaching
• Solid understanding of budgets and financial management
• An energetic, vibrant, and driven approach, with great relationship building and communication skills
• An innovative leader with a passion and experience in sport programming to drive participation across all ages from kids to adults
• A motivated, friendly, and engaging nature.
• A positive attitude to work and achieving goals in a team environment
• The ability to implement and adapt to processes, new technology and problem solve
• Completed a degree level qualification in a related field with relevant work-related experience and training

Salary: $78,821 - $83,853 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience plus superannuation up to 14.5% and Cockburn ARC Centre membership.
Hours: Full time, 38-hour weekly roster as per the requirements of the role with work over weekdays and very occasional weekends as negotiated with Coordinator. Fortnightly RDO available.

• Level 2/Senior/Apply/Provide First Aid
• National Police / Criminal History Check
• Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
• Drivers Licence
