200 franchisees attend Plus Fitness’ annual conference at Sydney’s Accor Stadium
August 20, 2022

Leading gym franchise Plus Fitness has shared details of its 2022 Amplify Conference which attracted over 200 franchisees from all over the country to Sydney’s Accor Stadium.

Held on 12th and 13th August, Plus Fitness’ annual franchisees conference featured invited suppliers and keynote speakers to present to franchisees the exciting and proactive future of the brand.

Day one of the Conference began on the Friday with an address from Plus Fitness Director and Viva Leisure Head of Franchising, Gordon Martin, followed by renowned Fitness Business Coach and speaker Justin Tamsett who took the stage with a pumped up presentation on the evolution of the industry and how to create member connection and experience.

National Operations Manager Zofia Williams jumped up to remind franchisees of the importance of the member journey before EGYM Enterprise Customer Success Manager David Bishop then took the baton and highlighted the amazing benefits that the EGYM platform will deliver into the Plus Fitness app so that we can connect with our members virtually.

Following the announcement earlier this month of a partnership between Plus Fitness and data specialists KeepMe, Martin then shared the stage with KeepMe’s Sales and Marketing Director Olivia to showcase new and future operational systems that will amplify the Plus Fitness brand and the business with one of the most integrated and connected tech eco systems in the fitness industry.

Day two took franchisees on a marketing workshop to remind them all of the importance of strong marketing that lands on a local level, on the right channels, with amazing content.

Plus Fitness National Marketing Manager John Miller first led franchisees through the future of Plus Fitness’ marketing as well as going through the steps to building a strong content strategy.

Franchise Marketing Specialist and General Manager of digital agency LT Network Rachael Dao then gave franchisees a look into the current digital landscape, brand recall and how to use your data to create better content.

EHP Labs Founder Izhar Basha and Marketing Manager Daniel Drummond then took delegates on an journey on how their successful supplements brand used social media to build their audience and brand trust.

Williams and Martin then ended the second day of presentations with a glimpse into the future of where Plus Fitness is heading and how the brand is being amplified to be bigger and better than ever.

The event then moved on to a gala dinner and awards night which saw Plus Fitness’s whole network and headquarter team smarten up and dance into the night, celebrating what Plus Fitness Marketing Manager, John Miller described as “a fantastic and inspiring weekend of amazing speakers with informative and exciting visions for the Plus Fitness brand, its franchisees and, of course, our members.”

Miller added “a big congratulations to all of our franchisees and staff that took home an award, your efforts and achievements in our business have not gone unnoticed.”

Plus Fitness’ 2022 Amplify Conference also hosted a trade show across the two days so franchisees could engage with suppliers. Exhibitors included Life Fitness, Fitness vending, LT Network, Novofit, Techno Gym, E-Gym, Evolt, Nightlife and Precor.

Looking forward, Miller advised “we are super excited to already be planning our next big event for our franchise network in 2023.”
