Flag and sport post/goal manufacturer Abel Sports has been named an official partner by Football Federation Victoria.

The announcement follows the company having installed junior football goals at the FFV-backed Knox Regional Football Centre.

Announcing the partnership, FFV Sponsorship and Partnership Manager Anthony Grima stated "FFV is delighted to have Abel join the Victorian Football family.

"We feel very comfortable in referring Abel to all our clubs and partners, due to their excellent service, product quality and guarantees. We look forward to building a successful mutually beneficial partnership that will also benefit clubs as well."

The new partnership will continue the evolution of upgrading football sports systems to reflect improved product quality, portability, storage, safety and security standards.

Abel Sports has also announced that Greg Boganis, a year 5 student at Greenvale Primary School, has won a set of Abel goals, as a result of a promotion conducted by Abel Sports in conjunction with the Melbourne Cricket Ground National Sports Museum.

The competition was run to celebrate the recent sell out friendly between Liverpool FC and Melbourne Victory played at the MCG, with the prize being the actual Abel Sports football goals used in the game.

The youngster won the competition for the goals having described in 30 words why his school deserved to win the prize.

Abel Sports Managing Director John Cann adds "there will be no more school jumpers and arguments over who scored for Greg and his mates, with the school now the beneficiary of the real soccer goals used in the big game."
