All Viva Leisure locations now open

After a four month period during which many of its locations were closed, Viva Leisure has advised that, following the reopening of fitness clubs in Victoria last week, all of its sites are now trading.
In an update to the Australian Stock Exchange this morning, Viva Leisure advised “with the reopening of metro Victoria represented the first time since 27 June 2021 (four months) … 100% of Viva Leisure facilities in the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria (are now) open for business at the same time.”
The update noted that while there are still access restrictions in some locations which result in higher labour costs due to additional rostered hours, these additional cost are currently only expected to last for one month when restrictions in most states and territories will reduce.
Viva Leisure’s Chief Executive and Managing Director, Harry Konstantinou, commented “12 months ago, in November 2020 we announced all our locations were open and trading for the first time in seven months.
“Today I am excited to confirm that all our locations have re-opened for the first time in four months.
“This is a highly anticipated time for the Viva Leisure team.
“Attendances and enrolments from existing and new members are tracking better than management expectations at this stage.”
