Gold Coast-based fitness equipment supplier AlphaFit is currently backing the Turf Games Summer Fitness Festival - being hosted in Sydney this week - as the official Australian Equipment Sponsor of the event.

The functional fitness competition commenced on Wednesday (27th November) with the Australia vs UK 'Ashes of Fitness' held at 98 Gym in Sydney and continues as of tomorrow with the Sydney Summer Festival.

The week-long event consists of 50 teams - each made up of mixed athletes - competing across five workouts in a single day, with the top four teams to move into the Elite Winner Takes All Final.

With the Festival being hosted in Australia for the first time, AlphaFit took on the role as equipment suppliers and co-sponsor - along with international sportswear brand Under Armour - supplying equipment including barbells, dumbbells, Farmers Walk handles and its soon-to-be-released Four-man Worms.

Commenting on the involvement, AlphaFit co-founder and Manager, Jamie Montesalvo stated “I am excited to work with Andrew (Manteit, founder and Director of Turf Games) and the Turf Games team as they bring this elite event to Australia.

“It’s all about uniting the global functional fitness community and celebrating teamwork above all else and we’re proud to be a part of it.”

The Sydney Turf Games competition formula mirrors that of the London Winter Festival and pulls strongly from a mix of tactics, teamwork, power and mental strength. Spectators are encouraged to come down to Chocolate Box Training in the Sydney Northern Beaches suburb of Dee Why and watch the action.
