read moreAnytime Fitness has flagged its support for endurance athlete Fran Hurndall as she takes on an extraordinary challenge this May - running 3,800 kilometres from Fremantle, WA to Sydney in just 34 days to raise $1 million for domestic and family violence prevention.
Anytime Fitness noted “as Australia’s largest 24/7 gym network, Anytime Fitness is driven by the belief that fitness can empower people with the confidence to overcome adversity, unlock resilience, and find strength in every aspect of life. Fran’s challenge captures the very essence of what it means to Find Your Fit - whether that’s crossing a continent or simply walking through the doors of a gym for the first time.
“Fran’s mission is one of both physical endurance and deeper purpose. Averaging an astonishing 110km per day, her journey is a powerful reminder that strength is more than just physical - it’s about mental fortitude, community support, and having the courage to step into the unknown. These values are at the core of the Anytime Fitness brand, whose network of 575+ clubs across Australia champions fitness for every goal, and every journey.”
Caitlin Bancroft, Anytime Fitness Chief Marketing Officer adds “as a brand, we’re inspired by Fran’s grit and her purpose-driven approach to wellness
“Our clubs are home to thousands of members who are showing up for themselves every day, many of them overcoming personal challenges. Supporting Fran is about celebrating all forms of strength and reminding people they’re never alone in their journey.”
Fran Hurndall shared "this challenge is about so much more than running. It’s about pushing limits, raising awareness, and showing people what’s possible when you back yourself - and when others back you too. Having the support of Anytime Fitness means so much to me. Their belief in physical and mental strength, and their commitment to creating empowering spaces across Australia, aligns perfectly with why I’m doing this. I hope this journey inspires others to find their own version of strength, whatever that looks like for them."
Anytime Fitness clubs across the country will be sharing Hurndall’s journey on social media, engaging members through wellness tips, motivational content, and stories from the road. As Hurndall makes her way across Australia, she’ll pass through towns and cities where local Anytime Fitness teams will be ready to support her - whether that’s with encouragement, recovery space, or simply a moment of connection.
With over 575 clubs nationwide and a commitment to accessible fitness 24/7, the brand is proud to be supporting every step of Hurndall s journey and providing a welcoming, encouraging space for all Australians - wherever they are in their fitness journey.
