Being held at the Koelnmesse exhibition venue in the German city of Cologne from 24th to 26th October, aquanale is seen as the global aquatic industry’s leading trade fair, giving visitors access to a massive range of exhibitors along with insights into the latest industry trends and innovations in both commercial and domestic pools.
Organised by the German Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (BSW) in collaboration with the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) and the Federal Association of German Swimming Pool Professionals (BDS), as the sector’s leading trade fair, aquanale will also deliver an associated three-day congress, the 10th International Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum (ISWF), addressing issues ranging from planning low-carbon pools to the new European energy efficiency standard all the way through to the question of staff shortages.
Among a line-up of exciting talks and panel discussions, the Congress will consider topics including: how the sector can be resource-efficient in its use of water and energy in the age of climate change and energy crisis?; what is needed to implement this approach in areas such as the private pool segment?; and how are other countries are tackling such challenges?
ISWF will also see the presentation of the European Union of Swimming Pool and Spa Associations (EUSA) Awards 2023.
Awarded annually since 2013 by EUSA in cooperation with the BSW and other European swimming pool associations, the awards recognise the most beautiful domestic indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, spas, pools with an enclosure, and pools with an automatic cover.
The prize-giving ceremony, hosted by EUSA President Bert Granderath, will take place on 24th October 2023.
All trade visitors at aquanale 2023 can attend the 10th ISWF free of charge.
aquanale is traditionally co-located with FSB, the International Trade Fair for Public Space, Sports and Leisure Facilities, on the trade fair grounds of Koelnmesse.
