Aquatics and Recreation Victoria conference to showcase an industry ‘surviving and thriving’
August 6, 2015

Aquatics and Recreation Victoria’s program for its upcoming 2015 Industry Conference aims to showcase an industry confronting challenges, preparing for the future, adapting, innovating and providing outstanding aquatic and recreation experiences to the people of Victoria.

Being held from 26th to 28th August at the Melbourne Park Function Centre, the conference has the theme ‘Surviving and Thriving’ offering a packed program featuring keynote speakers, concurrent sessions and tours of Melbourne’s newest aquatic leisure facilities. New this year will be the addition of fitness (27th August) and aquatic (28th August) themed sessions, in addition to the strategic and operational streams featured in previous conferences.

Keynote speakers include Essendon Football Club legend Kevin Sheedy and Committee for Melbourne Chief Executive Kate Roffey.

The trade show, successfully re-introduced in 2014 after an absence of some years, has expanded substantially and will showcase over 30 of the industry’s most innovative products and services.

Other highlights include opportunities to learn about the latest developments in technology, facility design, programming, risk management, and abundant networking opportunities!

Looking forward to the event, ARV Chief Executive Anthony McIntosh stated “the Conference has presentations and activities that will appeal to a broad cross section of our industry.

“We really want to give the next generation of leaders lots of ideas about where they can drive the industry, and give lots of practical ideas that are applicable back in the workplace right now.”
