The International Greenery, Recreation, Infrastructure and Parks Conference in Singapore has been upgraded to be a World Urban Parks Asia Pacific Region Congress, to be held from 6th to 10th June 2017.

To be held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre with its striking roof top Skypark, this conference was postponed from November 2016 to allow greater planning and promotion time.

Pre-event activities will begin on 6th June, feature a seminar, masterclass and World Urban Parks region meeting, while the conference will take place on 7th and 8th June. Optional technical and cycling tours will feature on 9th and 10th June.

Following the success of Parks Week in Australia and New Zealand over the past week, World Urban Parks has also announced World Parks Week – an apparent revival and extension of the former Parks for Life World Parks Day.

Taking place from 29th April to 7th May, the event is describe as “a great opportunity to communicate the importance the world's parks, encouraging people to enjoy their local park and appreciate the importance of green space.”
