read moreIn its latest collaboration with industry leaders, Australia Swim Schools Association (ASSA) has announced the firming up of a long-standing partnership with Katrina McCarter, founder of Marketing to Mums, that will considerably benefit swim school members.
In the decade since McCarter launched her first business - a hugely successful online shopping platform for mothers which she grew to 150,000 members - McCarter has launched two other strong businesses (Marketing to Mums and Partnership Mastery) and is internationally regarded as a leading expert in marketing and partnership strategies.
She is an award-winning speaker, trainer and author of two books, Marketing to Mums (2016) and The Mother of All Opportunities (2019).
A mother of three whose children all attended Swim Schools when they were younger - as she states “I believe swimming is a life skill” - McCarter (pictured) brings genuine energy to her extended role with ASSA.
The decision to solidify the partnership was made based on McCarter’s marketing insights and extensive experience working with Australian Swim Schools to grow their enrolment and retention rates to increase revenues and profits.
While full details are yet to be announced, this partnership will enable more ASSA members to work with McCarter through her research-backed training in marketing to mums and partnerships.
McCarter commented “I’m so delighted by this partnership and look forward to bringing out my programs which will be far more accessible to swim schools than ever before.
“Previously, many of the smaller schools have faced financial constraints around working with marketing experts. Now, I’ll get to work with swim schools of all sizes, so this is a collaboration not just of two businesses but one that shows a great commitment to social equity.”
She adds that ASSA members will benefit from “my deep industry knowledge combined with my marketing expertise.
“While plenty of ASSA people already know me, what they don’t know so much about is my work in partnerships and how they can use them to increase enrolments and retention rates.”
ASSA General Manager, Emily McNeill added “ASSA is excited to confirm this new partnership with Katrina, who we have loved working with for years.
“She’s not just a gun marketer and partnerships expert, but has intrinsic insider knowledge of our industry. It’s a win-win all round that will benefit the industry and our members.”
