AUSactive launches 2023 Digital Futures consultation

AUSactive has announced the launch of 2023 Digital Futures consultation - a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering AUSactive members and the broader Australian health and fitness sector.

Designed to assist fitness and leisure operators, as well as Yoga and Pilates studio business managers, with valuable digital insights for their business, participating organisations will receive free digital benchmarking and strategic recommendations.

The consultation involves answering a thoughtfully crafted set of questions designed by digital consultancy firm Rewrite Digital. By doing so, businesses will receive a comprehensive digital maturity and effectiveness score, enabling them to benchmark themselves against their sector peers. Additionally, they will receive a personalised report with recommendations, a private consultation with Rewrite Digital, and access to a growth and resource microsite.

AUSactive Chief Executive Barrie Elvish said he was thrilled to collaborate with its UK counterpart, ukactive, with the support of Sport England and Rewrite Digital for this initiative.

Elvish advised “the program has already proven highly beneficial for hundreds of operators in the UK over the past couple of years, contributing significantly to the development of their digital strategies.

“In light of the rapidly evolving digital landscape, where disruptive technologies and trends such as the internet of things, AI and VR are shaping industries, AUSactive believes the next decade will bring both opportunities and risks to the physical activity sector.

“The Digital Futures program was developed to support the sector in comprehending digital transformation effectively.”

The active health, fitness and leisure industry generates a wealth of data across various business functions, which can serve as a powerful tool for data-driven decision-making. Integrating this data from both front- and back-end systems throughout all aspects of a business empowers organisations to design the most suitable digital growth strategy.

The objective of this detailed assessment is to equip businesses with practical steps that will enhance their understanding of digital transformation, enabling more informed and strategic business and commercial decision-making, regardless of their current stage of development.

To take advantage of this opportunity, organisations must complete the consultation process by 31st August 2023.
