Australian Innovative Systems’ Elena Gosse wins at 2017 Brisbane Women in Business Awards

Australian Innovative Systems’ Elena Gosse wins at 2017 Brisbane Women in Business Awards
September 27, 2017

Elena Gosse, Chief Executive of Australian Innovative Systems, has won the Innovation and Technology Award in the 2017 Women in Business Awards (Greater Brisbane).

The award recognises Gosse’s leadership and commitment to developing world-first, innovative, inline chlorine generation technology via electrolysis for residential and commercial swimming pools.

Australian Innovative Systems (AIS Water) designs and manufactures its award-winning chlorine generators from the company’s Tingalpa headquarters.

In addition to her win, Gosse was chosen as one of three finalists for the Business Achiever Award and was the only finalist to be selected for two categories.

In addressing the awards ceremony guests, executive director of the awards, Karen Phillips said that from the hundreds of entries received, 64 women of merit were identified, with finalists and winners then chosen in eight categories.

Phillips explained “women are innovators and creators of business. These awards are an opportunity for women to be acknowledged and celebrated.

“It is about being recognized for their tenacious ability to excel in their industries.”

Gosse (pictured) said that to win the Innovation and Technology award was a great honour and representative of her company’s ethos.

She added “in 2007 I changed our company’s name from AIS Enterprises to Australian Innovative Systems to better reflect our commitment to innovation and excellence in water disinfection technology.

“At AIS innovation permeates everything we do from our assembly lines, to our R&D team, to management.

“It’s a way of thinking, a culture.

“It’s about continuing to push the boundaries and protect swimmers from waterborne pathogens by disinfecting water within the pool system, thereby eliminating the archaic and dangerous practice of liquid or granular chlorine dosing.”
