Following a year in which it broadened its commercial base across the country, Commercial Aquatics Australia has extended its range of products and services to include new and innovative solutions to take advantage of the latest developments in pool technology.

To service this increased demand, Commercial Aquatics Australia has significantly expanded its engineering and drafting division and estimating department, while developing a major service facility as a separate department. At the same time, the company has engaged Bonser Design to create a fresh new brand identity which has found its expression in Commercial Aquatics Australia’s latest capability statement and its new website.

The company’s diverse range of completed projects range from major competition and stadium venues to facilities for schools, remote communities and mining camps. Some of the standouts include the stunning Burswood Entertainment Complex in Perth, the Cannington Leisureplex and the Fitness First Top Ryde pool installed on the top floor of a shopping centre in Sydney’s west.

These achievements were recognised at the inaugural Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Australia (SPASA) national Awards of Excellence Gala Dinner at the Crowne Plaza, Surfers Paradise last year.

As culmination of a remarkable year, Commercial Aquatics Australia received the following Awards:

• Gold: Commercial Pools or Spas over $250,000 – Sunday Apartments
• Silver: Commercial Pools or Spas over $250,000 – Cannington Leisureplex (main image)
• Silver: Commercial Pools or Spas up to $250,000 – Crown Spa Melbourne

These awards were in addition to the following state-based SPASA Awards:

SPASA Victoria (held at the Regent Theatre Plaza Ballroom, Melbourne)

• Gold: Commercial Pool over $250,000 – Collingwood Football Club
• Gold: Water Feature – Ballarat Waterplay

SPASA Western Australia (held at the Hyatt Regency, Perth)

• Gold: Commercial Concrete over $250,000 – Karrinyup Waters
• Gold: Commercial Renovations – Perth College
• Silver: Commercial Renovations – Iona College
• Silver: Commercial Vinyl-Lined Pool – Hale School

According to Jamie Brown, Commercial Aquatics Australia General Manager East Coast, the success is down to “a fundamental difference in that we see ourselves in partnership with the client, a partnership to deliver outstanding world-class facilities to their patrons.”

However, it’s not just this attitudinal stance that has brought the company an enviable reputation throughout the industry. Commercial Aquatics Australia has been a leader in coming up with innovative solutions for clients, whether it’s servicing difficult and remote sites, integrating with other simultaneous construction works, or devising aquatic play parks that obviate the need for full-time lifesaving staff.

Commercial Aquatics Australia has also responded to the needs of clients in developing a comprehensive service offer to aquatic facility and commercial pool operators around Australia. This includes a range of preventative maintenance services and reactive maintenance with both phone and on-site support available 24/7. The company provides full water chemistry and microbiological testing services which comply with Department of Health standards, and advanced level pool operations training courses to ensure staff members understand both pool plant safety and quality operation procedures.
