Basketball Australia partners with SKINS
January 28, 2021

Basketball Australia has announced a two-year partnership with SKINS™ which sees SKINS as the Official Compression Supplier to the sport’s governing body.

The partnership will see SKINS supply the Chemist Warehouse Australian Opals and Australian Boomers with cutting edge compression garments.

Upon welcoming SKINS to the organisation’s commercial family, Basketball Australia Head of Commercial Partnerships Glen Towers enthused “we are excited to be partnering with SKINS, the pioneers of sports compression, as Basketball Australia’s official compression supplier.

“We look forward to working with the team at SKINS to fit out the Chemist Warehouse Opals and Boomers with market leading performance and recovery product during two exciting years for our senior national teams.”

Basketball is a truly global game which makes the feats of the Opals and Boomers programs even more outstanding, with the senior women currently ranked #2 in the world and the men ranked #3.

Both the Opals and Boomers have a busy schedule of events coming up over the next 24 months, including competing in or qualifying for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, 2021 FIBA Women’s Asia Cup, 2021 FIBA Men’s Asia Cup, 2022 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Sydney, and 2023 FIBA Men’s Basketball World Cup.

Speaking on the new partnership, SKINS™ Australian Commercial Sales Manager Allan Sassoon advised “SKINS is delighted to be partnering with Basketball Australia. SKINS Compression has been weaved into the fabric of basketball globally for over a decade, and we are excited to be supplying Basketball Australia with the latest SKINS compression range, supporting our Australian basketball teams and assisting them in their quest for peak performance.”
