BIG4 Holiday Parks prepare for Chinese campers

BIG4 Holiday Parks prepare for Chinese campers
August 21, 2015

Leading holiday park provider, BIG4 Holiday Parks, has launched a dedicated Chinese language website in response to reach the rising number of Chinese visitors planning holidays to Australia.

In addition to the new website, BIG4 has also provided its 180 park owners and managers with Chinese language tools including basic greetings in Mandarin and information sheets for Chinese guests in simplified Chinese, aimed to enhance their experience.

According to Kari Hunter, BIG4’s General Manager of Marketing, Strategy & Sales, Chinese nationals now make up the leisure accommodation network’s second largest market behind locals in terms of online revenue.

Hunter explains “Australia attracts more than 700,000 Chinese visitors each year (and) during the month of January alone, BIG4 Holiday Parks noted that half of international bookings made were from China.”

“It’s not uncommon for our Chinese guests to arrive in a motorhome but stay in a luxury cabin.

"BIG4 Holiday Parks offer guests a vast range of accommodation options from lush tent sites to city-style cabins, so we cater for their style of travel."

At each BIG4 location, guests will find helpful and friendly staff along with high-quality services and facilities. Each park also boasts a range of additional features such as jumping pillows, water play parks and indoor play centres.

Select locations are also home to luxury day spas.

BIG4 partners, campervan hiring company Britz Maui, is also supporting Chinese arrivals by providing them with DVD’s explaining the road rules.
