Celebrating emerging artists and established legends, the recent Queensland Music Awards were backed by Bose and The P.A. People.

Held at the Royal International Convention Centre in the Brisbane Showgrounds, the Award night presentations need high quality sound and, as Jeff Bolt, Bose Professional National Sales Manager, explains “for the second year running, Bose Professional has proudly been associated with the Queensland Music Awards, supporting our local music industry.

“This year we engaged The P.A. People with their Bose ShowMatch Line Array System, once again delivering a great sound and result for the guests on the night.”

The seventh edition of the annual party to celebrate Queensland music took place was hosted by The Grates’ Patience Hodgson and comedian Mel Buttle at the Royal International Convention Centre, Brisbane Showgrounds to a sold-out crowd in front of a sell-out crowd on 19th March.

The night featured performances by Amy Shark and DZ Deathrays, Resin Dogs, Clea, Bobby Alu, Emma Beau and Tokyo Twilight and saw 23 category winners awarded, with Brisbane dream-pop band Pool Shop being presented with the prestigious Billy Thorpe Scholarship.       

Among People’s Choice awards for venues and events, The Triffid in Brisbane was named best metropolitan venue, The Big Pineapple Music Awards on the Sunshine Coast was named ‘Festival of the Year’ NightQuarter on the Gold Coast received the award for best Regional Venue.
