Boutique Fitness Studios (BFS) has announced that it is about to hit a major milestone with the upcoming launch of its 50th studio in the Perth suburb of Mount Pleasant.
The master franchisee of Xponential Fitness-owned brands Club Pilates, Rumble Boxing, StretchLab and CycleBar in Australia and New Zealand, BFS has recently been boosted by an investment from ASX-fitness and recreation company Viva Leisure. This backing will help BFS further expand its portfolio of brands.
With the Mount Pleasant studio set to open in the middle of this month, Boutique Fitness Studios Chief Executive, Matt Gordin recalls “when I came across these brands while living in the US, I knew they would offer something unique that the Australian public would enjoy.
"Whilst navigating through Covid and lockdowns in our first year we have continued to go from strength to strength. Over the past 12 months, we've seen big growth in both our franchisees' client numbers and franchise sales. I’m really happy with how the business is progressing and where it’s heading. We’ve got several new studios set to open across Australia, and I’m excited for what’s next.”
Viva Leisure’s strategic investment sees it become the largest shareholder in BFS, bringing exciting synergies, resources and technology that will allow BFS to further invest in brand expansion efforts and support for franchisees.
At present, BFS has 106 licenses sold across its four brands, including:
- Club Pilates: 13 Open and five expected to open before end of year, and
- StretchLab: 22 Open and five expected to open before end of year
- Rumble Boxing: 10 Open and two expected to open before end of year
- CycleBar: Five Open
BFS has also recently launched into the New Zealand market where they expect to open an additional 25 studios in 2025 across the BFS brand.
