The Australian fitness industry will set its focus on Brisbane this weekend with the 2014 Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo and the 2014 QFit Conference being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September.

With the Expo anticipating over 11,000 visitors and over 120 exciting exhibits by leading local, national and international brands, along with celebrity appearances, nutritional and cooking demonstrations, continuous stage entertainment and a range of free giveaways. Celebrity appearances at the 2014 Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo include: Commando Steve (pictured above); Tiffiny Hall; and Derek Boyer (Australia's greatest strength athlete).

The Expo will also feature the Again Faster Arena, with tiered stadium seating for around 300 people, who will be able to demonstrations featuring:

• CrossFit
• Powerlifting
• Strongman
• Olympic Weightlifting

Coming to the Expo for the first time in 2014, the new Cardio Corner will see teams from Brisbane gyms, PTs and Expo visitors sweating it out against the clock - and each other - in a triathlon-like challenge.

Another new feature for is the Active Zone - dedicated to interactive sports such as Taekwondo, Mixed Martial Arts, as well as bootcamps, group and product demonstrations.

Simultaneously, the 2014 Queensland Fitness Conference (QFit) is set to present a host of vibrant and exciting speakers who will provide provide industry professionals with the opportunity to further their industry education, knowledge and business.

The organisers of 2014 QFit have also just confirmed an address by the former Vice-President of Marketing of Gold's Gym International, Derek Barton.

Industry professionals attending the 2014 Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo can do so for free, but must register in advance.
