BRW names Jetts Fitness Australia’s fastest growing franchise
The award recognises Australia's most dynamic and fast-growing franchise systems that present solid business practices required to deliver exceptional growth.
Jetts' success as Australia's fastest growing franchise comes just months after being named Australia's second fastest growing business on the BRW Fast 100 list last October.
Founder and Director Brendon Levenson said he is honoured to take out the number one position and proud of the franchise model's success in Australia and New Zealand, which has grown more than 400% over the past three years with 2010/2011 Group Revenue of nearly $43 million.
Levenson stated "since launching the 24/7, contract-free gym into the Australian market in 2007, franchise uptake has skyrocketed.
"The winning combination of low start-up costs, low overheads and high returns makes owning a Jetts gym an attractive investment option for many franchisees."
An average Jetts gym has a start-up cost of $500,000, a time investment of 5-10 hours for franchisees and requires just one staff member working 38 hours per week.
Jetts Group Managing Director Adrian McFedries, said the standards and profitability of Jetts gyms was consistent across the 24/7 gym's network of 155 clubs.
McFedrie adds "on average Jetts gyms have strong cash flow and profitability and there aren't too many other franchise models where you can achieve strong financial returns from 5-10hours per week."
McFedries said he expects to have 250 gyms open across Australia and New Zealand by the end of next year, stating "our key areas of franchise growth for 2012 are New Zealand, New South Wales, Tasmania and regional Australia.
"The essence of Jetts is bringing a freedom of choice to members to workout on their terms which will always remain our focus."
