read moreByron Bay’s annual Bluesfest has announced that Live Nation-owned Moshtix will become its primary ticketing platform from the 2020 event onwards, taking over from longterm partner the Queensland-based emedia.
Bluesfest is the latest festival ticketing partner to join Moshtix, which now looks after events including Splendour in the Grass, Groovin the Moo, Laneway, Spilt Milk and FOMO.
Advising that Moshtix was awarded the exclusive contract by Bluesfest following a select expression of interest process, Moshtix Managing Director Harley Evans stated “Moshtix is incredibly proud to be partnering with Bluesfest. We’re thrilled to bring our experience as Australia’s leading festival ticketing provider to the event and ‘make live easy’ for Bluesfest fans through our suite of products and services.”
Bluesfest Director Peter Noble added “it’s an exciting time for Bluesfest as we prepare to announce our first lineup for the 31st Byron Bay Bluesfest next Easter. I’m really looking forward to working together with the Moshtix and Ticketmaster teams to help us make Bluesfest 2020 the best yet.”
With more than 15 years’ experience in ticketing some of Australia’s best known festivals and events, and with first-to-market technologies like its authorised resale platform, Moshtix brings its industry-leading expertise to enhance the experience for festival-goers.
Bluesfest customers will benefit from Moshtix’s constant investment in new technologies and marketing tools, including the ability to have their tickets delivered directly to their Facebook Messenger account via the MoshMessenger bot, and receiving friendly support from Moshtix’s dedicated, local customer service team.
From humble beginnings in 1990 as a one-day event, the festival now takes place over five days every Easter on Bundjalung land at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, approximately 10 minutes north of Byron Bay, with over 200 performances in front of crowds of up to 125,000 patrons. In 2019, the festival celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Early bird tickets are now available for the 2020 edition, running from Bluesfest Thursday 9th to Monday 13th April next year.
