Cardinia Shire Council, situated in southeast Melbourne, has opened applications to join their first Women and Girls Sport Participation Network.

The network aims to:

• provide a positive, safe and welcoming environment for participants to build their leadership skills
• establish a framework to support opportunities for females in sport and active recreation in Cardinia Shire.

Networking and development sessions will be held in October and December 2022, and February and April 2023.

Session topics will be selected by those part of the network.

Applications to join the network are open to all who live, work or play in Cardinia Shire wishing to support and encourage the participation and leadership of women and girls in sport, including people of all genders and backgrounds.

The Women and Girls Sport Participation Network is funded by the State Government’s Office for Women in Sport Change our Game Community Activation Grant.

Applications close Wednesday 31st August 2022.
