read moreCity of Newcastle is moving forward with planned improvements at Smith Park in Hamilton North, with the contract for construction now open for tender.
The project will see new drainage and irrigation installed, as well as the realignment of the three synthetic cricket wickets.
The upgrade is being delivered by Council, with support from a $2.5 million grant secured by the Newcastle Junior Cricket Association through the NSW Government’s Multi-Sport Community Facility Fund.
In accordance with design methodology, the successful contractor will be responsible for the supply and construction of an irrigation pump shed, water storage tanks, new concrete cricket pitches, stormwater and drainage infrastructure, minor earthworks and landscaping works..
Persons willing to fulfil the requirements of the proposed contract are invited to submit a tender by the deadline, 2pm on Tuesday 2nd April 2024 (at the Tender Box). Responsibility for lodgement of completed tender documents by the deadline lies solely with the Tenderer. Tender lodgement information is provided in the tender document. Council is not bound to accept the lowest tender or any tender submitted.
