Community Club vouchers offered to boost Queensland vaccination rates

Community Club vouchers offered to boost Queensland vaccination rates
November 3, 2021

More than 7,000 food and beverage vouchers will be offered through 29 community clubs in major regional centres and Southeast Queensland in a bid to boost vaccination rates against COVID-19.

Queensland Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Yvette D’Ath said the clubs would offer a total of 7,250 vouchers in a bid to boost vaccination rates and noted “If people weren’t convinced by the fact getting vaccinated could keep you out of hospital and save your life, they might be enticed by a $10 voucher that can be used at local clubs.

“It’s another reason to get vaccinated. Getting the jab means you’re 80% less likely to get COVID and pass it on.

“It’s time to roll up your sleeve and get the jab then roll up to your local club and have a feed.”

Clubs Queensland Chief Executive, Kelly Egan said Queensland’s community clubs wanted to do their bit to support the vaccine rollout.

Egan added “getting vaccinated is the best thing Queenslanders can do to keep safe and healthy and keep our community connected.

“Community Clubs connect everyone and as an industry, we’re happy to support our community by encouraging people to get vaccinated”.

A total of 7250 vouchers will be offered at Clubs in:

  • Cairns
  • Townsville
  • Mackay
  • Rockhampton
  • Toowoomba
  • Brisbane

The vouchers will be offered for first doses of the vaccine only and available upon exit from the vaccination hub.

The vouchers will be available from Thursday 4th November.
