The accredited level 5 course is aimed at professionals and suppliers involved in all areas of crowd and mass gathering management including festivals, sporting events, busy transport hubs, shopping centres and public events.
Developed by Professor G. Keith Still, the course, which has already been delivered to safety professionals around the globe, comes with the book ‘Applied Crowd Science’ and access to his online Crowd Science community, including the whole course in e-learning form.
Crowd Safety - Applied Crowd Science
The purpose of this course is to raise awareness about crowd and individual behaviour, as well as their reactions to various situations. It also offers insights into how public behaviour can be modelled and how certain techniques can be applied to enhance public safety.
The course is delivered by the Event Safety Institute under an exclusive license from Professor Still.
Event schedule:
Event Safety Institute: teaching and advising you on crowd safety
The Event Safety Institute is inextricably linked with the safety, liveability and experience of events and other busy places. To guarantee safe conditions, knowledge is needed about how, why, where and when crowds behave in a certain way.
The Event Safety Institute helps those responsible for safety in crowded places with training and education, advice, planning and coordination on the implementation of crowd safety management.
