Fast growing Jetts Thailand extends market dominance

Fast growing Jetts Thailand extends market dominance
August 12, 2024

Jetts Thailand, the country’s leading health club brand, has extended its market dominance with the opening of four clubs in the first half of 2024.

With the brand now having 48 clubs across 12 provinces, it is scheduled to add a further four clubs in the second half of 2024, including a Jetts Black club at new mega-development One Bangkok, which opens on 25th October as club #50.

Club #45 is Jetts Fitness Central Nakhon Sawan - Jetts’ first club in Nakhon Sawan, the brand’s 12th province. Located on the first floor of the large Central shopping mall, the 900 square metres club can cater for 1,800+ members. Five months on from opening, it has surpassed 1,200 members.

Jetts Fitness Central Nakhon Pathom is club #46 and the second club in this province, following the success of Jetts Fitness The Fourth. With over 800sq m of workout space, it allows 24/7 access for 1,600+ members at capacity - it has already reached 1,350 members since opening in March.

The mall itself is the first mixed-use community mall in the province and is establishing itself as a lifestyle hub.

Jetts 24 Hour Fitness at Canvas Phloen Chit is club #47, located in a bustling area of Bangkok that’s renowned for its premium malls and office buildings. The 764 square metres club occupies the entire third floor of the building, including a multifunctional outdoor area, and can cater for more than 1,500 members.

A promotional video for the Canvas Phloen Chit club featured 20 Jetts-branded tuk tuks and went viral, reaching over a million people within two weeks. Uptake of membership has also been impressive, with 900 members signed up just three months on from its opening.

Club #48 is the 908 square metre Jetts Fitness Park Silom, occupying a prime location in Bangkok’s CBD.

Providing members with the premium experience of a Jetts Black club - the fourth Black label club in the Jetts Thailand estate - a healthy nutrition Fuel Bar complements a top-class fitness offering.

With a capacity of around 1,800 members, 700 were active by opening day, which featured bring-a-friend classes and a GX On Tour event in front of the building. Now, just six weeks on, the club has reached 1,100 members.

Mike Lamb, Chief Executive of FLG Thailand, the Jetts brand owner which, in turn, is owned by FLG in Thailand and New Zealand, explained “we continue to roll out our proven and highly successful model, with another four clubs to come this year as we continue to meet our ROI criteria..

“Jetts is unquestionably the most exciting brand in the Thai fitness market. As we ramp up to club #50 and beyond, we continue to make waves.

“With unparalleled reach across the country, combined with a fantastic product and a great dose of fun and creativity - our tuk tuk video just one example - we’re bringing more and more people to our clubs, to fitness and to improved health.”

Greg Oliver, Chief Executive of Fitness and Lifestyle Group - headquartered in Australia and the owner Jetts brand in Thailand, added “Mike and the team have done a brilliant job in rolling out the Jetts brand in Thailand, becoming the largest operator of high-quality convenient and affordable clubs in the country.

“50 clubs is a significant milestone which has been made possible by the incredible support of our members and the dedication of Mike and the team. Jetts Thailand has been and will continue to be a significant part of FLG’s growth story.”

Club #49 will open in Index Living Chiang Mai on 16th October.
