read moreKiama Council on the NSW South Coast has closed the Reid Park playground in Jamberoo to the public after an overnight fire destroyed most of the play equipment.
In a statement the Council advised "Council thanks the Jamberoo Brigade of the Rural Fire Service for their work extinguishing the fire and preventing further damage."
The Reid Park playground was upgraded by the Council in 2019 at a cost of $121,000.
NSW Police are investigating the blaze.
