Fitness and Lifestyle Group launches Emerging Leaders program
March 22, 2021

Leading Australian fitness and wellness business the Fitness & Lifestyle Group has launched its FLG Emerging Leaders program.

Led by Oscar McPhee, State Operations Manager at Goodlife Health Clubs and Taurean Whelan, Regional Performance Manager - Victoria at Fitness First Australia, the nationwide program is part of the company's People Capability Framework that aims to support the growth and development of talent within the business.

The program has been curated to develop club managers of the future and cement FLG as an organisation that values investing in its people.

Commenting on the program, McPhee advised that it featured “an exceptional group of leaders hungry to learn.”

Goodlife Health Clubs have also recently launched its consumer oriented ‘Good for Life’ brand campaign.

Launched in January, it aims, according to an FLG statement to push “back against the category norm of chiselled bodies looking impossibly beautiful in the gym, this campaign, produced in collaboration with VMLY&R, is built on the insight that a good gym life is good for your whole life.

“The brand campaign highlights the meaningful moments outside the gym with family and friends that are made better because you’ve stayed fit and healthy with the help of your local Goodlife.”

The campaign links with changing consumer demand to flag its flexible membership plans (including month-to-month options), at home work-out options, fitness challenges and range of classes.

Fitness & Lifestyle Group's brands includes Fitness First Australia, Goodlife Health Clubs Australia, Barry's Bootcamp Asia-Pacific, Jetts Fitness, California Fitness & Yoga, California Centuryon, Yoga Plus, UFC Gym and ERI International Clinic and Zap Fitness.

Its almost 500 locations across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia, have around 900,000 members.
