read moreThe City of Parramatta is offering locals and visitors the chance to be among the first people to join the new Parramatta Aquatic Centre (PAC), with foundation memberships now on offer.
Located within Parramatta Park and costing a projected $88.6 million, the PAC will be a year-round destination for swimming, fitness and wellness for the whole community to enjoy.
Advising that more than 300 first-release foundation memberships had been sold within the first 24 hours of becoming available this week, City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Donna Davis stated “Parramatta Aquatic Centre is going to be the best fitness, wellness and relaxation hub in NSW and the response we’ve already had from the community, months out from opening, is incredible.
“Uniquely designed to blend into the surrounding natural environment within Parramatta Park, the PAC is set to become an iconic part of our City for many generations to enjoy.
“The discounted foundation membership rate means you and your family can benefit from everything the PAC has to offer for less, which is particularly important given the rising cost of living.”
First release foundation memberships cost just $37.40 per fortnight. The rates will be locked in for two years and will provide access to all facilities, including the pool, gym, spa, steam and sauna facilities, group fitness and reformer Pilates classes. Other benefits include two hours free parking, locker access and a creche.
Each foundation member will also get an exclusive members’ pack, and free passes for family or friends.
The new Parramatta Aquatic Centre will cover 40,000 metre² and includes:
The new facility's membership and management software and integrations with access control, kiosks and integrations with the Council's enterprise suite was provided by PerfectGym. This included pre-sales for the Centre.
The PAC is due to open in Spring 2023.
