Free admission announced for all City of Gold Coast Aquatic Centres

Free admission announced for all City of Gold Coast Aquatic Centres
March 12, 2025

City of Gold Coast has announced free admission to the City’s eight aquatic centres from now until close of business Friday to allow people access to amenities following Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate noted “we know that being without power can be difficult, and by offering free admission to our aquatic centres we aim to relieve some of that stress.

“The centres are a great place to have a hot shower, charge devices, and simply a space for the kids to play and relax.

“The aquatic centres are in addition to the relief centres, Recovery Hubs, and chill out zones.”

People can apply for financial assistance and access other support by visiting the Recovery Hubs at the Burleigh Waters Community Centre, the Nerang Bicentennial Community Centre and Upper Coomera Centre from 9am to 4pm daily.

There are also relief centres open at Pimpama Sports Hub and Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium. These are open from 8am to 5pm and allow a space for people to charge medical equipment and essential communications devices.

The Community Recovery Hotline for financial assistance and wellbeing support is also available 24/7 by calling 1800 173 349.
