GO Health Clubs announced its ‘most valuable players’ at its annual Christmas Ball, with GO Health Clubs Springwood named Club of The Year.

Held on Saturday 17th December, the event at Brisbane’s Victoria Park Function Centre saw 11 recipients awarded for their outstanding service to the company and the fitness industry in Australia.

GO Health Clubs Head of People and Culture Matt Buder believes that the awards help the company to recognise and reward team members who demonstrate company values every day.

He explains “the GO Health Clubs SPARK, our purpose, values and beliefs are what drive staff members to uniquely contribute to the business and to our 25,000 plus GO members.

“Our SPARK is what differentiates us from our competition and its obvious in everything we do. For that, we all should be very proud. In recognising that, this year we have introduced four new awards for care, passion, honesty and adventure – four of our values.”

The award recipients for 2016 were:

Values Award: Care - Meghann Ashby (Nundah Club Manager)
Values Award: Passion – Helen Thompson (Group Marketing Manager)
Values Award: Honesty – Paul Stolyer (Arena Fitness MMA Coach)
Values Award: Adventurous – Simon Brown (Group Sales Manager)
Service Excellence – Cailin Smith (Nundah Receptionist)
PT of the Year – Vanessa Buckley (PT at GO Carindale)
Group Exercise Instructor of the Year – Anita Finlayson
SPARK of the year – Stacey Keene (Group X Leader at Beenleigh)
Most Valuable Player – Peter Sargent (PT at GO Rothwell)
Club of The Year – GO Health Clubs Springwood
