The popular wellness franchise is one the latest big names to join the Fairfield & Co lifestyle destination, following the recent openings of bouldering giant Urban Climb, X-Golf and FitStop.
City Cave Idalia, located in Fairfield & Co’s second stage will feature three infrared saunas, three float therapy rooms, and three private massage rooms for individuals or couples.
City Cave Idalia franchisee Trudy Hudson said she was excited to bring the nationally recognisable lifestyle retailer to the precinct and advised “I searched many different areas to find the right location for City Cave but something either wasn’t right with the building or the location.
“Fairfield & Co really stood out as the right location as it was new, had attracted high quality tenants and it wasn’t an indoor shopping centre.
“What is great about Fairfield & Co is the diversity of lifestyle tenants. If a family wants a day out for example, some members may choose to go to Urban Climb for some action, while others might enjoy that with a relaxing float at City Cave.”
Geon Property Chief Executive Ben Griffin said the addition of City Cave builds on the unrivalled and diverse tenant portfolio of the centre.
Griffin notes “this year we have seen significant changes across Fairfield & Co as we welcome a new range of tenants focused on lifestyle-centric consumers.
“City Cave complements the centre’s rebrand to Fairfield & Co perfectly, providing locals with a space where they can make relaxation more of a routine than a luxury.”
Hudson believes City Cave Idalia will also support the large population base of elite athletes and soldiers in Townsville and adds “given the number of professional athletes and soldiers in Townsville, it’s a good place to start a sports recovery journey as well.”
Float therapy is said to improve sleep quality, reduce inflammation, and decrease stress, while infrared saunas can also improve heart health and muscle recovery.
The grand opening of City Cave Idalia on 28th January will include personalised tours of the new venue.
