Melbourne-based HG Sports Turf has revealed details of the installation of Australia’s first Desso GrassMaster turf surface for the City Football Academy, Melbourne (CFA Melbourne) at La Trobe University’s Bundoora campus.

As International Partners for Desso Sports Systems, HG Sports Turf were successfully chosen to design and construct Melbourne City FC’s new Elite Training Facility at La Trobe University in mid-2014 and following a successful ‘grow in’ undertook with the stitching of the field with the GrassMaster System.

Desso GrassMaster hybrid natural grass is a system that strengthens the natural turf and ensures an even and stable surface.

This unique and renowned elite grass system has been proven in the world’s leading stadia and a multitude of other sports turf applications and is a first here in Australia.

HG Sports Turf have also completed the installation of two artificial turf and one elite level grass surface at for Football NSW at Valentine Sports Park in Western Sydney.
