IMG Sports Technology Group merges with FOX SPORTS PULSE

IMG Sports Technology Group has merged with News Corp Australia’s grassroots digital business, FOX SPORTS PULSE, to become Sports Technology Group.
The launch of Sports Technology Group brings together two complementary businesses in the sports technology market, providing the industry with best of breed software solutions.
FOX SPORTS PULSE is currently the largest grassroots sports network in Australia, providing a competition and membership management platform for more than 30,000 community sporting clubs and 2.2 million active participants.
IMG Sports Technology Group provides membership management, industry leading event registration and e-commerce solutions to national sporting bodies, elite sporting competitions and international events in ten countries.
The newly formed Sports Technology Group has clients across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, from national sporting organisations to community sporting clubs and world-class event organisations.
Sports Technology Group Chief Executive Glen McGoldrick explained “we are very excited about the opportunities and possibilities that bringing the two companies together creates. “The strengths and capabilities of the combined businesses will allow us to redefine the delivery of sports technology across all facets of the industry, from grassroots to elite.”
News Corp Australia Chief Operating Officer Peter Tonagh added “we are delighted to be launching Sports Technology Group, which has the potential to positively affect the many millions of Australians for whom participating in sport is their number one passion.
“The merger will deliver the digital expertise, innovation and investment required to best develop and support technology in sport.”
Sports Technology Group will be based in Melbourne, with staff also located in Sydney, Auckland and London.
The Group is majority owned by News Corp Australia.
