Jim's Group, the world's largest home franchise business - best known for the Jim's Mowing brand - has announced it will be relaunching its personal training venture.
The announcement that the franchising group will be re-entering the fitness space comes almost six years after Jim's Group’s initial attempt to expand into this sector. It is understood their initial venture halted activities during the pandemic (although no announcement was made) as of late 2020/early 2021.
Jim's Group is now revisiting ‘Jim’s Personal Training’ which offers a mobile fitness service delivering personal training to people’s homes, parks and communities.
The new Jim's Personal Training division is headed up by Alex Zeissner, a longtime team member at Jim's Group headquarters in Melbourne.
Commenting on the relaunch, Zeissner noted "Jim’s Personal Training is designed to meet the evolving needs of customers who are seeking convenience, flexibility and high-quality service."
Jim's Group was founded in 1982 by David 'Jim' Penman as a part-time gardening business while he was at university and was then franchised in 1989. Jim's Group now operates in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom with some 5,550 franchisees in more than 50 divisions.
Penman shared "the needs of our customers have changed.
"They still need services for the home, but they also want services to support their whole lifestyle as well. We are listening and responding with solutions backed by high quality trained experts and our nationwide service guarantee."
Jim's Personal Training will offer clients the freedom to train anywhere, from their backyard, garage, to the local park or community oval, while receiving expert support from fully qualified trainers. The business will cater to those who are “tired of gym memberships, crowded spaces and exorbitant fees and want the flexibility and convenience of a personal trainer”.
Zeissner added "people want a lifestyle shift, not a gym membership. We're bringing fitness to real people, in real places, with real results."
To accelerate the rollout of Jim's Personal Training, Jim's Group is giving away five franchises for free to motivated individuals who want to start or scale their career in personal training.
Zeissner continued "this opportunity includes the rights to operate your own fitness franchise business under the trusted Jim's brand, all while generating fast, sustainable revenue.
"Our franchises offer immediate financial stability and your own exclusive territory. You also benefit from a guaranteed income from your very first day, a unique offering in the franchising world.
"There is no reason to stay in a job doing something you don't love when you can now start up your own business with a guaranteed income from day one with Australia's most loved franchise group - Jim's Group.
“Jim's Personal Training is a fully mobile business, if you have a car, you can deliver services anywhere. It's flexible, scalable and ideal for people who want to build a future for themselves on their own terms.”
Zeissner enthused "it's an amazing chance to change your life. You get the backing of the Jim's name, full training, marketing, business support, mentoring, leads and you get to do something meaningful every day. You just need a Cert III and IV in Fitness and a Jim's startup pack to get underway.
"We don't just hand you a logo and wish you luck, we provide everything you need to start strong and stay strong.
"We are now actively recruiting passionate personal trainers, career-changers and wellness professionals to join the movement.
"If you're ready to get off the hamster wheel, be your own boss and help others change their lives, there's never been a better time.
"Let's bring personal training back to the people."
In March last year, Jim's launched a mobile massage service.
