To pay tribute to the Hong Kong team athletes, management of the sporting precinct have created a dynamic lighting display with an Olympics theme that will be displayed on two consecutive weekends - starting from last Saturday.
As the future home venue for Hong Kong, Kai Tak Sports Park will provide ideal training and competition facilities for athletes after its opening in 2025, allowing more citizens to witness their perseverance and inspiring the next generation to pursue sports, jointly writing the brilliant chapter of Hong Kong's sports arena.
This large-scale outdoor lighting display on the exterior walls of the Kai Tak Main Stadium will make its grand appearance during the Olympic period, engaging the public and visitors to experience the fervent atmosphere of the Olympics.
In June, it was revealed that Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground, will be the first of the precinct’s venues to be completed.
Water World Ocean Park splashes into Olympic spirit
Also supporting the Olympics, Water World Ocean Park's Horizon Cove is also staging live broadcasts of Olympic competitions from 4pm to 7pm daily. Guests are able to watch the action on the big screen while floating in the waterpark’s indoor wave pool.
Separately, in Honor of International Lifeguard Appreciation Day on Wednesday 31st July, Water World presented a tribute to its energetic staff members, who are all avid players and fans of water sports.
Ocean Park Corporation Chief Executive Ivan Wong, along with the management team, delivered breakfast to staff members before their shifts as a gesture of gratitude for their work with outstanding service.
