Major international events in focus at SPORTELAsia 2018
March 16, 2018

Held over three days this week in Singapore, SPORTELAsia 2018 has tracked Asia’s staging of major sporting events, including the Winter Olympics and Paralympics in South Korea, and the upcoming 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Welcoming 646 participants, representing 310 organisations and businesses from 43 countries, delegates learned about how new technologies and broadcast opportunities are developing and spreading their services across Asian, providing ample evidence that sports marketing and the media industry in the region is booming.

Speaking after the close of the event, SPORTEL/Monaco Mediax Chief Executive Laurent Puons expressed his satisfaction with how the event had provided high quality business and networking opportunities, stating “it is a great satisfaction to experience an event like SPORTEL, with almost 30 years existence, which continues to grow year after year.

“It is truly phenomenal to see how important SPORTEL conventions are to the industry and a privilege to us that the world leading sports entities trust us with their business.

“We thank our collaborators SVG, ASN, TV Sports Market and Yutang Sports for their great work on the panel programme. Special thanks to our sponsors, Telstra, BeIN Sports, FeedConstruct, Arqiva, LaLiga and One Championship for their support and trust in the SPORTEL brand and for bringing the networking events and lounges to life.”

SPORTELAsia is one of a series of global conventions designed to unite the international sports marketing and media industry.

Upcoming events include the SPORTELSummit on 15th and 16th May in Miami Beach, Florida, USA and SPORTELMonaco from 22nd to 24th October.
