Naming rights partner sought for North Queensland Stadium

Naming rights partner sought for North Queensland Stadium
June 30, 2019

Stadiums Queensland has commenced seeking expressions of interest from businesses to take on the naming rights of the new North Queensland Stadium.

The new venue is on track for completion ahead of the 2020 National Rugby League (NRL) Premiership season and will host Sir Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour on 29th February next year.

The successful naming rights sponsor will be aligned with the North Queensland Cowboys as well as other major events at the venue.

Naming rights come with a host of promotional and marketing opportunities including venue signage and branding, corporate hospitality and both national and local media coverage.

Queensland Minister for Sport, Housing and Public Works Mick de Brenni said he expected the venue’s naming rights to be an attractive option for a range of industries.

Minister de Brenni advised “this stadium will first and foremost the home of the Cowboys, but can also be the major event capital for the North Queensland region.

“Major sporting and entertainment venues are always evolving in what is a competitive environment and it’s particularly crucial for special events content that a high standard is maintained,

“We’ll make sure funds from the partnership are rightly put back into the venue. That’s about ensuring North Queenslanders get a world class experience every time they visit."
