The National Live Music Awards celebrates and recognises Australia’s diverse and successful live industry - recognising the best vocal talents and musicians alongside the best venues, tours, festivals and industry professions who help make it all possible.

A statement explaining their creation advises “the awards fill a gap in Australia, which is currently without a national awards night dedicated to the live performance industry, a side of the industry that definitely deserves the focus.

“After all, live performance is the most significant revenue stream for most Australian artists; it's an industry that generates billions of dollars of ticket sales and is one of the healthiest in the world.

“The NLMAs aim to celebrate the best live music that Australia has to offer.”

The National Live Music Awards are being run under the vision of Larry Heath of Heath Media and will be held as part of ARIA Week.
