The Organising and Advisory Committees of the National Officiating Summit 2023 have advised that the event has been postponed until October/November 2024.

This decision has recently been agreed after several weeks of deliberation.

The challenging decision has been reached off the back of several key factors that the officiating industry is facing:

• Current economic climate and its effect on commercial partners;
• 2026 Commonwealth Games withdrawal and its effect on many sports, such as new NSO/SSO budget pressures for FY24; and
• Ongoing increased cost of living and travel expenses.

There have been discussions in running several possible alternatives, such as an online version, satellite workshops, roadshows and a smaller face to face version of the original program. However, it has been decided to fully postpone the event to 2024.

This decision allows all attendees, sponsors, exhibitors and partners greater lead-in time to plan and prepare to attend the biggest officiating event ever held in Australia.

The organising committee have been securing a world-class list of speakers, current trend topics, panels and sport executives that will entice, inspire, and celebrate all things officiating.

The preliminary 2024 event schedule will be announced in November 2023 and ticket purchases will remain open.

The NOS organisers shared “we do apologise for any inconvenience this causes for attendees who were getting ready for November in Melbourne. We thank you for your support and understanding of the decision to further build the first instalment of the National Officiating Summit.”

INFORMATION FOR CURRENT TICKET HOLDERS

Purchased tickets for this year's event will remain valid for 2024. Any changes in product or package pricing for the 2024 event will be communicated and honoured to existing ticket holders, who can make a decision on a full refund up until 30th June 2024.
