read moreNRL star Robbie Farah will partner with James Tampion and the members of Vision Personal Training, Lane Cove on Saturday 9th May, to conduct the largest online exercise session to raise vital funds for Beyond Blue and they are inviting the public to join in.
The aim is to raise $10,000 dollars from the session which will be donated directly to Beyond Blue.
Farah notes “we know there is a direct link between physical and mental health and we also know that during this time of lock down people have found being confined incredibly challenging.
“We are also aware of the incredible work that Beyond Blue is doing to help people at this time and if we can raise some funds by having a bit of fun with a gym session it’s the least we can do.
“We know that your emotions, moods and feelings can dictate your health and well-being, which is why we are proud supporters of Beyond Blue and the tireless efforts of mental health professionals.
Farah adds “with over 3 million Australian adults experiencing depression or anxiety, we are seeing challenges that may see a colleague, friend or family member needing support.
“Now more than ever, our mental health is being impacted and we recognise how crucial it is to support our community and mental health services.
Speaking about the online group training sessions that Vision Personal Training, Lane Cove has been conducting across the last month, Studio Owner James Tampion said that he found the group sessions were not only good for the body but good for the mind.
Tampion advised “it’s like you are part of a community.
“Before the Studio closed Group Training was loved by all our clients. It’s great that we can still physically work out together, and seeing everyone come together has been fantastic.
“So many of our members both singles, couples and families have embraced the concept and we are so proud of what they are achieving each day.”
Those wanting to participate can join the Virtual Group Training Sessions via us02web.zoom.us/j/88039663247, on Saturday 9th May starting at 7am.
